A Half of My Fifth Semster

OK guys,, this is almost a half of my fifth semester in English Department. next week, I'm going to have my midterm. But it is a good news. This midterm, I just have two test in the class and the other mid take home and some tasks in group.

Actually in this post, I would like write how many novel and short story along time I'm in English Literature.

The first novel that I remember is "Mathilda" by Roald Dhal in Introduction to Literary Studies. Actually I also read a short story, but i forget. May be I'll tell u in next post if I have remembered it. hehehe

Then, in Prose class I read many short stories and 2 novels. Some short stories which I remember is "Oval Portrait" by  Edgar Allan Poe and "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson. The novels which I read are "Alice Adventure in Wonder Land" by Lewis Caroll and "The Catcher in  the Rye" by J.D Salinger.

recently, i have decided that I'll take literature for my concentration. Of course, I take some class with many task to read novels and short stories. Now, I'm reading "hateship friendship courtship loveship marriage" by Alice Munro and I'll read Jumpa Lahiri's "Unaccustomed Earth" for my Final Task in Literary Criticism class. Of course, I have read some stories till now. Even, I've made two essay about the story. The stories are "A Pair of Silk Socking" by Kate Chopan and "A Rose for Emily" by William Faulkner

hm,, I think what i've read is not enough as a literary student.

So, I have to improve my reading for that.

Guys,, I am so excited to learn many stuff now.. I try to get more much experiences to be a better person in the future.. We know guys,, nowdays we must have many skill to win competition..
Now, I am doing that.. ^_^

Early fourth smester

Huy guys,,
Has along time ago for my last posting and now I wanna try to share my story in early fourth smester of my college.
In this smester gives many suprised for me, specially for the subjects.
There many subjects about history, huft.. it's so killed me. I am so crazy about history when I was in the school and now I have to meet again with them. -_-
But I also enjoy with several subjects, such as french. This is my first experience to study french, I am so excited for that.

Two Last Meeting ^_^

Guys,, this week we have online class for two last meeting.
and I have some task for this meeting.

First, My lecturer asked to watch the video on youtube about  Favorite food and drink then she gave me a task based on the video. The task has to be send to my lecturer's mail.

Second, I have to watch the video Bookstore Shopping from Randal's ESL Listening Cyber Labon. The do the exercise.

Third, Listen to audio College Scholarship from Randal's ESL Listening Cyber Lab. Also do the exercises.

Using Offer and Request

     Huey guys,, welcome back in my class. This week we were talking about Offer and Request. My lecturer has given us power point that we took from her blog http://rmarnita.blogspot.com/. The material is uploaded in week 6 posting. In the power point, she in put some videos about Offer and Request that she got from www.youtube.com.
     So guys, there are some expression  to make polite request. When we want to make a request, it is better if we do it politely. Especially when we talk to our parents, boss, and e.ct or when we are in the some places that need to request something politely. Such as when we are in the office, bank, restaurant, hotel e.ct. 
     For example to make some polite expressions, we can using this expression:
1. please
2. could you please
3. would you
4. can you
5. would you mind
then followed by your request or offer.
                e.g: Would you mind if I lent your bicycle?
     Right guys, these are some expression to make polite request or offer. You can try it. It'll make someone help you with their pleasure.

Exercise Report

Ok,, for week task I have listened some conversation in www.esl-lab.com. I took the middle level and the easy one. From this I got 80% for my score. At first in the middle level I could not get the point of conversation, so I just get 0% for my score. I do not know why it happened, may be I am not really focus to listen it.
